After trying Pete's` interconnects, he sent me his silver solid core loudspeaker cable to try out. I`m not going to mince the words, but all i can say is stunning!:D It definitely suits the valve amp and Paduas to the ground, as both use silver cables throughout, so Pete's cables complete the chain. Not at all harsh or lightweight (as some say about silver cables) just smooooooth and very detailed. At first i thought the bass was a lot lighter, but in fact, the cable has removed bloom in the midbass and made everything so much tighter and tuneful. Mids are stunning, and the top end is so airy it needs to be heard to be believed compared to my Audioquest Crystal (which is great anyway). Very musical, and worth every penny...you will need to spend a shed load more to get close to these. Build quality is very good, and although the missus didn`t like the haberdashery sewing box look on the silk outer, i could easily live with it :MILD: I am going to keep these for a few days more to "evaluate" them, and then send them back, but will definitely save up for pair, and i am even contemplating getting Pete to supply me with just the silver and get the missus to make a nice jacket for them that she can live with :D Cor, Pete doesn`t half know this cable malarkey.
