Fair enough if there's a good reason to restrict it to 4 characters.

Certainly I can see why you'd want to exclude words like "and" or "the".

It's just that I often find myself using terms such as "CD" or "DAC" due to the nature of the kind of stuff I'm trying to find out on these boards.

For example if I search for "class A amp", I get a search returned just on the term "class" which isn't much help.

Anyway, like I say, if there are good reasons for why it's set up as it is, that's fair enough.
