    Neil,
I heard the Druids at Manchester, AA cap MKII evo something +++200mph cdp, a stereo Art Audio valve amp, to me sounded pretty fair (for the presentation it was giving) nicely musical too.
I have heard the Druids sound very average as well.
I still believe the Langdorf room was lacking any soul, thoughts sir?

l had the opportunity to hear the Definitions last week at the Australian Importers home.

In a nutshell, they didn't do it for me. l felt no connection with the music, they were fine on simpler stuff but didnt impress on heavier music such as Audioslave. When listening to speakers l try not to analyse what l am hearing but rather relax and see if l feel myself drawn into the music with the desire to relax and hear more. l never felt that with the Definitions, after 10mins l was ready to walk off and found myself distracted by other thoughts. Playing the same tracks at home tonight l was instantly drawn into the music and loved what l was hearing, just a little more bass please sir

l plan to audition a pair of Osborn Grand Monuments in the next few weeks and will followup with Rick from Equinox on his new flagship speaker, the Galaxy. l will also hunt down a high end sub to demo with my Jupiters. More bass will be mine.

    Cheers Simon

    Zu Druid defence

Just been reading through this thread and it seems to have put quite a 'downer' on the Zu speakers.

As an owner of a pair of Druids for the last 6 months I thought I would rally for them, as no-one else who has commented seems to own a pair....

IMO the Druid is all about tonal accuracy, musical involvement and listenability. They do alot of things wrong - but you have to put your audiophile conditioning and expectations aside. Listening to music through the Druids becomes just that, and something that can be done at length without fatigue. One listens to the music, rather than trying to hear how the cables, the rack or the latest power conditioner upgrade sound. They are intimate sounding and matched with the right system components, one could say magical. I auditioned my Resolution Audio Opus 21 with them, and that sounded awesome - overall very musical sounding (I've just sold a Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 3D, with an £800 Trichord Research upgrade which sounded dry, hard and mechanical in comparison)

    Viva Zu!
