I know the MF kit isn't universally liked on any of the Forums however, I urge you to hold those pre-conceptions until you've heard this one.

It's been well modified by John Sampson (ex MF guy) from JS Audio, and by heck it sounds different. It goes deeper, and the timing seems so much more 'real' than before.

I've also had a custom Damiel power cable made for it (£375), which again added a little more.

John would be happy to explain his mods to anyone in more detail as I'm no expert on the technicals, though have particularly fine ears.

I had a home demo very recently with 7.5K worth of LFD pre-power. The LFD was leaner and slightly quicker in the bass, but the MF portrayed a more realistic sound and added a much needed warmth (and depth) to the music playing.

If it wasn't for an urgent business need, I'd in no way sell this unit as I really think I love it! In fact selling whole Hi-fi as no other way to raise required funds (other than some pretty cold nights hanging about Piccadilly Circus!)

Would love to demo to prospective buyers, as I'm sure you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was. Really lovely with my Arts also, with a lovely warm bass

As new condition with boxes etc. Would like to get close to £1800, and that's a small premium over the standard, but it's really in a different league (to my ears anyhow)

Down to £1700. Its a little more than you can get one for but the mods do make a huge difference. In fact had the chance to compare to a 550 and in my opinion my 500 bettered it in every respect.
