    Bad luck!
    Where were you climbing?
The only time I had pro rip was at Nesscliffe sandstone..
A talon, friend and nut all pulled out as I was trying to mantle over the very sandy top. Luckily a nut further down held and I stopped about a foot from the ground with nothing worse than rope burn and a bruised ego..

at a crag outside gothenburg in sweden where i live, it was a size 1 3/4 dmm tri cam. once i'm well i'll go back in see if it was the wrong gear selection, a bad placement or just back luck. i'd climbed it before and was doing it as a warm up for the first climb that night. oh well, back to sport climbing.

    Very wise!
However, a good m8 of mine fractured his ankle falling off a sport route in Swanage - it was bad enough to warrant 10 pins..
Another m8 fractured both ankles very badly falling 5 feet in a slate quarry in Llanberis - funny thing is both are now professional climbers, one as an instructor and one as a guide/Himalayan new router. And he still owes me a few pints!

Dammit Chris.... When you described that trail as "technical" I didn't think I was going to come out of it feeling like I'd done 3 rounds with tyson... Ouch...
