The system was Hermann's. Since that photo was taken, he has upgraded a few things (552, CDX2, more Mana, bigger power supply for his phono stage) and moved.

I suppose there was no room left for him to sit down with all that Mana around. Thank God for my 'normal' room which may be sonically compromised but which contains things other than angle-iron and electronics (mostly books).

Yes, yes, I live in total isolation, no hi-fi shops at all here in Glasgow, never heard anything at all apart from my own hi-fi.
