Once again my trusty Audes Jazz Loudspeakers are up for sale. These currently retail for 00.00 there is no UK distributor and so I'm obviously open to offers. They work perfectly and are completely unmarked except for a tiny ding on one of the side cheeks (less than 5mm). Your looking at a tall, narrow but deep box containing 2 x 6.5 inch bass/mids and a SEAS Silk dome tweeter. According to the blurb DH labs wiring and Mundorf caps abound. Now to the sound... They are detailed enough to clearly show up differences in recordings but do seem to extract enjoyment from even bad ones, pretty punchy and dynamic yet not harsh or spitty in any way. Plenty of deep bass if demanded and I'd say a balance very slightly on the warm side of neutral. Vocals sound very realistic with no obvious cuppy or hooty colourations, there is good leading edge attack. To me they sound "right" for want of a better word. I audioned Proacs, MA's, Spendors and a few others of a similar ilk before deciding on these and to my mind they sound much better. They are easy to drive my 30watt Lavardin does a great job so good for valves I'd reckon. I'm selling as the incessant nagging has got me beaten and for the sake of a quiet life I've decided to downgrade to some little standmounts or neat floorstanders. There are big loudspeakers coming up just below chest hight on me and I'm 6ft tall. they weigh a lot so posting is not an option. I have no boxes but can deliver in my estate car for petrol costs. I'm looking for £700 but any reasonable offer will be considered. There are pictures available from me but my camera is pretty pants. Full specs can be found at audes.ee and stereophiles website (A decent review) I'm happy to demo at East Molesey in Surrey.
