    I was lent this on DVD.

    Despite having not fared too well from the critics, I quite enjoyed it. If you liked Get Shorty then you'll probably like Be Cool. The characters are well cast, with some amusing character constructions. There's some memorable lines, and plenty of references back into Get Shorty.

    High-brow or deeply intellectual it is not. It is amusing and worth watching as entertainment however.

    i've seen this but can;t remember much other than umma thurman was in it and it was about the music biz. i do remember thinking that get shorty was better but i didn;t feel cheated out of an hour and a half of my life.

    I too didn't have high hopes for this but I quite enjoyed it aswell. Having Uma Thurman looking quite fit in it obviously helps - I think it works aswell because Thurman and Travolta obviously bounce off one another (oooer!) and still have that on-screen chemistry that we saw in Pulp Fiction. The guy from Outkast (forget his name) is good as an over the top gangsta
