Which is the best?! After getting stung for £70 to get my van towed 10 miles the other day I'm biting the bullet and shelling out on AA, RAC or similar. Anyone got a recommendation? I'll need relay and if it isn't too expensive european cover would be useful for those trips accross the water.

    What do you folk use?

I've used the AA for years, and they've always been great, prompt, friendly and efficient, and they've saved me a lot of money. I've heard patchy things about Green Flag (much fewer recovery vans than the AA/RAC and poorer response times or so I'm lead to believe), but tbh I've no direct experience of them so don't quote me on that :D.

I'm with the AA, but have not had to call upon them. Despite this they keep trying to charge me more each year (conveniently "forgetting" my IAM discount every year, and this year they would only apply said discount if I paid by single DD payment as opposed to a debit card (no, I don't understand either) - for which there was another discount).

Green flag have been ok for me.

Though I have a Fords own cover now.

I was with the AA once years ago (yes, the motoring type before any one says.....) but felt they got too expensive.

I think green flag have a partnership witht he National Trust or something which may or may not interest you.

yeah, I use the RAC which I've had to use a few times...they're ok, tho one of their guys didn't have a clue!

I had forget to renew my subs and got a letter - my membership then relapsed and I joined again and that worked out at being cheaper than renewing...!

I can't remember why I used them in the first place - but I'm sure it was because of recomendations on the hifi forums!
