VDH The Bay C5 interconnect, excellent for the cash. Rotel RA-01, stonking little amp for £250 - I miss it. EMU 0404 soundcard, sure to cause the rolling of eyes on here, but it shits on any source below about £200 - £300, all for £70!!

Second hand bargains, Rega Elas - £200 - great speakers for the cash!

i dont know if anyone will remember the tangent monitor 9 floorstanders. They were new in about 1997.... They were the first "real" speaker i ever bought. £150 for a proper hi-fi floorstander with bi-wire terminals and the most musical sound i think you would get for that kinda money.

Yes they had their flaws.. but most musical kit does. The tannoy M3's which were £230 were far less flawed but dull as dishwater in my opinion.

SO god bless the little tangents.. my best mate now owns them and loves them too.

I've got to suggest the TDL Studio 10 floorstander. £200 at richer sounds. I bought a pair when my beloved Maggie SMGa's died. If I hadn't heard the Arts I have now, I'd probably still be using the TDLs.

For £200, they are a true bargain, IMO.

Another vote for the Squeezebox. With a little work, it's a giant killer.

Twin and earth cooker cable - bloody excellent speaker cable (even better than orange lawnmower cable (yes, I tried that too!). My mate still uses the cooker cable in his rig!
