    Recently acquired...

    It's rather predictable, but it's good fun. It's a little more disneyesque then some of the other pixar stuff (well, similarly disneyesque to Finding Nemo and Toy Story, more than Monsters Inc and The Incredibles), but it's watchable.

    Having done road-trips through the deserts of the american southwest, including parts of route 66 it recreates some of the feel of places like Amboy or Kelso Sands (ok, that's not on route 66, but still...).

    The included short animation on the DVD, One Man Band, is truly superb, like many of pixar's short clips. The oscar-winning short For the Birds also has a cameo in Cars.

    If you have kids it's required. If not, it's recommended.

    saw this on a 'plane, imo borrows heavily from doc hollywood with michael j fox.
    i agree, quite watchable.

    Thirded. I quite enjoyed the bit at the end, when the Ferrari speaks with an accent so familiar to anyone who watches Grands Prix..
