I still swear by my Clearaudio Aurum Beta S, moving magnet so no step up problems, works beautifully with my dub collection!
Still quite pricey for an MM at £270ish, but has all the same virtues as the Victory at about 1/4 of the price, with nowhere near enough vices for the other £750!

Hmm. ME and Auntie did the sums on what we've spent of the house refurb so far and we've discovered we are way over budget (forgot to add the VAT to the builders quotes ... Doh!! :( ), so not sure I can spend anything at all for a while carts or cleaing machines. Should think the Okey Cokey will clean up (haha) at that price though.

Don't worry, I *always* get my sums wrong. It's a matter of pride. Anyway, a little abstinence is good for the soul. I almost said absinthe - that's good for the soul, too.

I found a pic of the Okki Nokki.

Incidentally, it looks to be made by Cadence. I used to have a pair of Cadence speakers (if its the same Cadence?). They were well made, and the company is famous for ribbon hybrids.

The company is based in India which is why they tend to offer decent VFM.

Im impressed to see its a full piece of kit for the cash, not something you need to attach to your vacuum like the Nitty Gritty.

A few more reviews and hopefully a purchase by a forum member or two is whats needed now to see if it's decent :)

NB I've seen it for 175 on a search engine.

(picture wont work, try the link)

I've found a few references to it being £175, but I haven't found anyone actually selling it yet. I'm going to buy something later this year, I'd thought it was going to have to be either a home made moth, or that one you attach your vacuum to, but I'd rather try one of those. Anyone got any idea where you can actually buy one from?

    nope :(

I would try a Cadence UK speaker distributor/reseller or whatever.

It is the same Cadence, I looked more into it. This is Cadence's website. www.cadenceaudio.com Unfortunately no information on the cleaning machine on the website. A bit of a bummer.

I think I'd fork for one at that kind of money, if they can be shown to be up with the VPI's of this world.
