Retip the dynavector and upgrade the phono stage instead
I can heartily recommend Zyx. The Yatra I use has a deliberate warmth in the lower mids, nicely detailed and is a very involving listen. You could pick one up for your budget. It sounds great right across the record, including the inner grooves.
Another good MC cartridge you can buy without to sell your car .. is the Denon DL-304 .. phonophono.de sells for 368 € The problem could be the low .18mv .. but if you have a good phono stage....
Benz Micro makes some really good carts worth trying. I've been using Benz since 1993 and I probably always will. I've tried the Dynavectors/Lyras/Clearaudios...and it took a lot for me to get a Shelter. First cart that really impressed for the money and was good across the board. Dynavector would be 3rd choice.
I like my friend Giorgio Benz Ruby3 .. it sounds magical on a Graham 2.2 Immedia RPM turntable JRDG Coherence Series II , Jadis JA30 - Quad ESL63 If you like the "Caramel Taste" in the mids .. that's the best cartridge for you
They put caramel in the Benz carts?????? I know what I'm having for lunch with my 3 cups of coffee. I find that my older H2 is lacking that caramel taste in the mids. More like a nice dessert wine with some flan.
