FAQs

Michael,

I apologise for the fact that someone has almost certainly raised this question before and I haven't seen it, but it seems to me that, as the same topics come up regularly (ICs, cables, equipment supports, etc.), it would be worth putting in a FAQ section somewhere. I checked out Pink Fish, but Tony's FAQ seems related to specific equipment. I was thinking of something more general, for example:

vinyl
CD/DVD/SACD players
interconnects
loudspeaker cables
power cords
headphones

I know that SCIDB once had an excellent piece on turntables (HFC?), CJRoss has his famous bit on the DAC side and someone did a good general thing on headphone amps.

I realise that few of us have enough overall experience of a sufficiently large number of items to write a general review (Paul Birkett and headphones excepted), but we could start off, for example, by giving references to more recent threads covering aspects of the general topics.
