freeview query...

just got a freeview box via ebay - when trying to set it up it states that there's no channels found when I do the auto setup and that I have to check the aerial connection and start again...

I have it setup as follows -
tv - digi box via scart
digi box - aerial

I've changed the various scart connections around with different combos but still the same...

am I doing something stupid..?

 

If you're able to see the menu's and such (which I assume you can, as they're telling you no channels are found), then that connection is fine. Perhaps your ariel isn't up to it?

I find it strange that *no* channels are found at all though.

 

..are you using a digital aerial?

expect so, but just asking as I had to change mine when I started with my humax pvr.

Mines up the swanney just for the moment but i suspect its something different.

and freeview isn't in this area presently via a freeview box...

hmm...the downside of living in the sticks!
