Travelling to US soon and my little boy wants to buy DS when we are there. They are about 40% less .Question is I am assuming that they all run on same voltage for charging as I know I will have to get a UK charger once here. I think they all take 5.4 v dc but would appreciate any advice not ahving a great deal of knowledge.

a DS is a DS, if you get a UK charger, it will charge fine, or just buy a cheap step up transformer from maplins and use the american charger.

Thanks Shrink I was pretty certain it would be ,Nintendo uk site shows spec but US doesnt .I would have imagined that they would churn out the same unit with different adapters.

I bought my wife a Ds from the US. HAd to buy a charger here in the UK. Got one from ebay and it stopped working after a very short time. Replaced with one from a shop called Game ( online £4.99 inc delivery) and it seems to be good quality. So yeah go for it but get a good quality charger. I called Nintendo and they recommended I get the Game one.
