Garyi,My system has been pretty static for hardware for some time now, main elements are Primare D30.2 Cdp, Primare A20mk2 amp and Castle Sterling 3 speakers, the power and interconnects are my own manufacture and cryo treated, the speaker cable changes like the weather, but is currently QED silver spiral biwire. It is in many regards, fairly modest, although I'll confess to a deal of pride of ownership, and a great deal of pleasure in listening to it. All the gear I own is funded through my own efforts, and has not affected my families lifestyle, nor been gifted to me, it's a good way to look at a hobby.
I don't know if that answer will satisfy anyone, and guess it doesn't matter too much anyway. There's more to most of us than meets the eye...
And as for your support of the forum, it is touching, but a little like supporting fotball teams or screaming for a boy band. It's the kind of thing people generally get over, and are able to see the benefit of a wider range of viewpoints and attitudes.
