    hi,
i was just wondering what peoples hot drink of choice was (yes i'm bored). i tend to change my preferences over time current favorites are...
coffee - yes that old favourite - black with 2 please.
bovril with tobasco - just discovered this - mmmmmm.
options hot chocolate (various flavours but turkish delight and hazlenut are waning with mint and orange coming up from the rear).

    cheers

    julian.

Coffee, closely followed by a really nice cup of tea.

For the past couple of months I have had no more than two cups of coffee a week, the rest of the time I drink cold water. Did I miss the coffee? Yes for a week but no cravings after that.
What about Spinmaker Seafood Classic Clam Chowder or Bouillabaisse soups taken at lunchtime with a couple of slices of hot butter toast? Hot, wet and tasty, what more can you ask for? The thought of Bovril with or without tobasco gets my taste buds going as I write this posting:p

Tea. Formosan Oolong, Lapsang Souchong, Russian Caravan... Properly brewed (meshball or teapot... none of this teabag nonsense) to the right strength (ie not this tannic, stewy mush that english people seem to think is "tea".... it should be red and clear, not black), drunk without milk or sugar.

Hot chocolate is good as an indulgence once in a while, as is mocha. Coffee (again, not this instant junk. Grind it, brew it) is nice once in a while, but it keeps me awake all night as I have very little tolerance for caffeine (tea as I take it contains very little).

Tea, milk, no sugar, English stylee. Also all the posh stuff too, for a refreshing change, but for everyday use then PG Tips is fine, so there :p I'm no tea 'luvvy', ha ha....boiled water is quite nice on its own, all herbal/fruity infusions are pap.

Also, one cup of coffee per day, preferably freshly ground etc, but if I can't be arsed then Carte Noire works nicely.

I always thought that hot chocolate was for women and children only.....no?

Actually no - it no longer contains any meat produce and is the poorer for it. It is now just like a variant of marmite.
