OK, with the impending arrival of my amp and speakers, the trusty Acoustic Energy Aego 2 speakers will have to go in order to re-inforce my money a little. Without wanting to go into too much detail, this is a 2.1 sub / satellite combination, that I have used with my PC. This has proper RCA phono inputs just like an amp (only one set of inputs unfortunately). It has an ipod minijack connector on the front. These were originally £300 when first released, later dropped to £100, which is the price I got them for. A couple of minor points - they are NOT quite cosmetically perfect - well the satellites are, but the subwoofer has a couple small white marks on the cloth. Also, one of the satellites has a slightly dodgy RCA connector where the cable plugs into it - what happens is, it does not seem to quite grip the plug as snugly as it should -its a bit loose - and as result the sound can drop out if its not plugged in all the way. A little twiddling with the cable soon sorts this, and I'd be willing to bet that if you used some blue tac to hold the cable in, it would stay in fine. Other than that, it has worked perfectly... the latter fault I have just put up with because on the whole, its never really caused me any issues. Now I dont have the original box either, and I *think* i have all the cables and other parts, but not quite 100% sure. In view of all this, I will be open to a sensible offer for them. Someone will get a bargain here, because frankly, the sound quality for what they are is superb, using my Pro Audio soundcard this gives a genuine hifi nearfield listening experience. PM me if you are interested.
