Less Bass, or excellent little speakers (used) ?

    Now I've recognized the boom, I can hardly stand it, trouble is my wife really likes the speakers and helped me choose them.

    I've just found this:

    Tannoy Revolution R1

    what do you think ?

    R1s are worse than the M1s. Too polite and uninspiring although they actually share the same drive units, the R1s have a biwirable crossover which obviously ruins the sound

    You pay more and you get less, oh well! I've seen that MX1-Ms are available still from Peter Tyson, but for me at least, horribly difficult to buy! They'll only sell within the UK. Anyway, I'm still thinkin' and still lookin', thanks for the info about the R1.
