    Hi chaps

My Micromega CDP has been making a quite loud intermittent, but more often than not, squealing noise when the tray ejects for a while now and it's finally started to wind me up (gets to something when the Mrs says "that sounds rough" :D )

I looked at suitable types of grease to oil the cogs so to speak in the past but was amazed at how expensive it was (especially the needle applicator stuff I would need to do an accurate job), I will probably never use it again so really I'm looking for recommendations for some cheap suitable lubricant to stop the tray/cog noise happening....

Some cheap grease should do the job. Silicone or Teflon based probably best as they won't eat any bits of rubber/plastic...

    Thanks Issac,

Got any linkies to any you have used/think may be good?

    Ta

Edit: Found this, would it be OK or will it just spray everywhere and not provide enough lube to solve the problem do you think?

Spot on, thanks, not bad for £3 either, it must have been the needle applicators that were knocking the price up last time I looked
