So will try again... tried selling this on ebay but just attracted scumbag lowballers! Given the level of buzz around Luxman I expected a bit more interest than I have had so far.
I paid £1750 for this only a few weeks ago, it hasn't secured its place in my system so am selling on and I am hoping not to lose too much on it.
Its a great amp,130W per channel with every feature you could wish for - headphone out, high quality MM/MC phono stage, 2 pairs of balanced inputs, 4 RCA inputs, tone controls, rumble filter and even a loudness button!
Its 2 years old, with all original packaging, remote control and instruction manual - in Japanese! Despite this being a UK 230V model from a UK dealer, it appears Luxman only ever printed the manual in Japanese, and have only got round to translating them for their latest models, the L-550 and L-505u etc.
Anyway, this is a lovely amp which I think is every bit as good as the Karan KAI-180 mk2 I had before, but with a lot more user features. I've decided its not going to be as good as my semi-ancient Krell KSL/KSA-100 combo which still awaits repair, so decided not to keep it. But it should make somebody very happy.
As above, I don't want to lose too much on it as its in perfect condition and I've only had it a few weeks, so looking for offers around £1500 mark. A new one will cost £2850.
