A month or so back I made up a few sets of my sound diffusers and sold them via this forum and HFC.

My feeling now is that if anyone wants a set I'll make them to order, rather than making them up first. The price is £80 plus £12 P&P. Turnaround time would be a week or so. If you want more information I can put you in contact with the forum users who bought the last ones. As before, I'll do a full refund if you're not happy.

Depending on dates, I may be able to demo a set at WM's listening session later this month. 8)

That's it. pm me if you want a set. More photos available by the way. Email me adamhindle52 at yahoo dot co dot uk. Or phone me on 01524791402

and here's one I made earlier

    The spec is as follows:

    - 61cm by 61cm
    - 18mm MDF backplate
    - 21mm planed timber fins
    - dimensions of the fin depths are based on contours I researched on the net, designed to scatter sound in a even-handed way across a broad range of frequencies
    - includes mounting brackets
    - sold untreated. My thinking is you can stain/paint them yourselves to match your room. They could also be covered with acoustic fabric if you wanted to hide them. They're very handsome though!

    How they work:

Position them behind your speakers and they diffuse the sound travelling rearwards thereby controlling reflections. It's well known that the surface behind the speaker, and the distance to it, can have a significant influence on the sound. The effect of diffusing the rear reflections in this way is to sharpen the stereo image. Voices in particular benefit from this. And they work!

Now I realise that there is little evidence on the performance of such things so I'll offer a full refund to if you're not a happy bunny (RA eat your heart out :p ). Either in terms of the workmanship or their sonic benefits. If you have bare walls behind your speakers they are a worthwhile addition IMO.
