I didn't 'get into bother' at all, but a great deal of people's time was taken up investigating a complaint which turned out to be baseless. I see no point in repeating that process.

I had already told you what I do.

Well you know what I mean. Hassle.

You told me the title. It wasnt very specific about your particular expertise.

Well I am sorry that happened to you - I am sure you didnt deserve such a malicious act.

I knew he couldn't stay away from us....sigh...keeps me entertained...

Good to see you back here, Mr Devil. Now, a suggestion. How about seeing if you can stretch to 3000 posts, and then decide whether you want to stay or not? :-)

Cheers,

mmm...

-bo -bis -bit -bamus -batis(??) -bant, I recall probably incorrectly.

But it's always worth remembering "cacumen arboris ramos maxime infirmos habet" I think.

Someone with better recall than I ought to correct this?

The only thing I remember from latin at school was that Mr W Inge (really!) had an amazing accuracy with the board rubber if people were misbehaving. Two rows back and one to the right of the intended target. EVERY TIME!

My class finally fell silent the day our accurately-board-rubber-throwing history teacher missed his intended target and the rubber went through a pane of glass.

And why were they called rubbers? They were made of wood and felt.
Perhaps because they rubbed out? This is why the strange exudations of the South American tree Hevea brasiliensis came to be called by that name - German and French use variants of the South American Indian word "kauchu". And that's all it was good for, until Charles Goodyear stuck some in a mould that he hadn't cleaned properly and that still contained traces of sulphur...

Get away! Surely not!

(Thinks... must remember to put more smileys in my posts which are obviously not serious, in order to avoid confusion.... no, can't be bothered...)
