It's about time I got a new MOnitor me thinks.

I currently use a 14 inch which must be close to 10 years old now.

So, what should I be looking for and how much should I be looking to spend? 17-19 inch would seem to be ideal.

    Thanks

anks for the offer, but I'm really after a flat screen to try and free up some space.

Anyone care to throw in some advice on any particular connections and such I should be looking out for?

You will want a VGA connector as your voodoo3 on-board will not have a DVI socket.
As for type of monitor, i assume you don't game or make graphics so pretty much any monitor will be good enough. The Benq you linked is reasonable and should be fine for you.

As for resolution your on-board should be absolutely fine. Make sure your windows resolution is the same as the monitors optimal resolution. Most LCD/TFT's look pap when they aren't at the monitors standard resolution.

I wouldn't be looking at a LCD TV as a computer monitor, better to get a dedicated computer monitor.

LG/Phillips/Apple/Dell are all good because they all use phillips screens, which are also good.

That links to a 32" rather than 26". Nice.

We (our office) have a few of these and they really are very nice indeed, they also seem to be good vfm. Not widescreen though (which actually suits me).
