Apologies for boring you guys but at the request of someone here, here is a small selection of the pics I took recently.

As some of you know my boss had the idea of making a pilgrimage to this temple in the Himalayas. It took us about 7 days to complete the journey. 4 days in the car and 3 on foot.

Well done. That's living, not worrying about the latest phono stage! I envy you.

    Cheers guys.

    Bob, very well put.

Isaac, it was very cold. One doesn't need much persuation to jump in because after all the walking/climbing you just want to cool off. After jumping in you feel the real temperature, I started to shiver.

Aqua, I think the least said about driving the better. I did however develop a lot of respect for Skoda Octavia though. In India it has very good reputation. It's very well built and coped very well with local conditions. It also performed very well with the 1.9TDi engine. I want one but would probably lose whatever street cred I have left.

Chris/Julian, you can look at other 200 odd pictures I took of the mountains and other places I visited the next time you come over (thinking, that should do it:D).

I'm on my second. The new one is fantastically well put together. If you changed the badges inside to VW or Audi, no-one would guess. There's a certain smugness that go's with Skoda ownership, the I paid 3/4/5000 less than you for the same car, and it's probably better screwed together and more reliable :)

One thing I forgot to mention was that we were generally very lucky with the weather. When it rains in the mountains it pours down for hours causing landslides. It rained overnight on the night after our walk down to where we left the car, casuing the blockages you see in the pictures. Sometimes these landslides hit cars and push them several thousand feet into the river Ganges.
