We visited here for the first time over the weekend. Perhaps going with lack of sleep and a hangover wasn't ideal, but still very enjoyable. Before you even get in there's an exhibition (not sure how long for), of pictures based on a theme of the Earth from above. With so much cr@p going on in the world, it's easy to forget how beautiful and amazing it can be! The veriety of landscapes and different colours, terrain etc is impressive. Can easily spend quite a bit of time just looking at the collection of pictures. Then before you even get inside the building you can't help but be impressed by it. And the inside is no let down either! The floor, walls and ceiling are all a bit on the special side. I think there's two entrances, the one we took puts you right infront of a huge Diplodocus skeleton! It's weird thinking that these creatures are not just film props! :P They really did used to walk the Earth! Aswell as the dino's there's also a fair aMOunt of MOre recent animals, both water, land, and air. I got dragged into the Creepy Crawley area which was..... nice. As I've stated a few times, if it's got MOre than 4 legs, it should be trod on and/or exploded asap IMO! I was amazed to see some parents pointing out to their kids the huge spiders and encouraging them to look closer! Are these people mad? Surely this is bad parenting! Teach your kids to kill or be killed! Destroy on sight! It's not just animals. There's a fair aMOunt of stuff to do with the land itself and overall the place is really well displayed. Better than the New York equivalent which we visited a few years back IMO. And entry was free too! We didn't get around it all, and no matter how amazing it is, it's always possible to get museumed out! The only downside was that everytime we seen a MOnkey my girlfriend made a point of shouting "it's you" and making me pose next to it for photo's! A good day out and reccomended :D
