    For Sale:

Net Audio Super Non-Oversampling converter module designed for the Arcam Alpha 5 CD player.

This module directly replaces the SAA7220 P/B filter chip and converts the player to a non-oversampling mode. It also contains a very high performance clock which replaces the standard clock crystal.

It can be powered either from the CD players existing power supplies or from a dedicated PSU for even better performance. You can solder it in to the board in place of the SAA7220 or fit it into SIL strip/sockets (which is how I had it).

Here is a picture of the unit fitted to my Alpha 5:

Although this module is designed for the Arcam Alpha 5 I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work perfectly in other players which use the same TDA1541A and SAA7220P/B chip set.

Details and fitting instructions can be found on the Net Audio website here:
    http://www.net-audio.co.uk/alpha5.html

It cost me £80 new and has hardly been used.

I'm offering it out at £50 to forum members (posted) before it goes on an auction website.

Slightly off topic so apologies but what those discrete op-amps? Burson?
