Not really sure what's going on here....

When I try to pay for an item I've just won on ebay with paypal, it keeps trying to get me to "Confirm Your Bank Account and Set Up Bank Funding".

"This is the last step to complete for bank funding. Please check with your bank to find out the two amounts that PayPal sent to your bank account. It typically takes 3-5 working days for these deposits to appear in your bank account.

Please enter these amounts exactly as they appear on your bank statement........... "

My options are to either confirm the aMOunts, or cancel.

I started setting this up a while back but didn't get round to completing it and have used my paypal account since to pay for things. This time when first logging in though I had to confirm my banks address, and now it keeps prompting me to enter the two desposit aMOunts.

Any way I can still pay now without having to wait for the deposits to be made and me confirming their aMOunts?

Mo you need to get this done. It comes up twice, once when you are first starting out with Paypal and again when you hit £4000 worth of trading through it.

You must have inadvertently agreed to Paypal withdrawing two small amounts of money (like 20p and 35p) you simply need to input that into the final screen. This confirms your bank account.

You may be asked to confirm your address, they will send you a letter with a code in which you then need to enter.

You will find the steps in the resolution centre. Ideally you need to get this done or they could suspend your account.

Its perfectly normal and does not mean anyone has reported you or anything.

I asked to become varified a while ago and it mentioned the 2 deposits, but I didn't use my account for a while and forgot about it.

I bought something a week or so ago and it didn't mention it.

This time when signing in it asked me to confirm my banks address then went to the screen asking me to enter the 2 aMOunts.

Now every time I try and pay it goes to the screen asking me to enter the two aMOunts.

It says it'll take 3-5 days for these aMOunts to show up, so I'm just wondering if there's a way to pay for this item now, or do I have to wait for these aMOunts to go into my account and confirm them before being able to use my account again

I've done no where near £4k worth of trading on this account!

    Thanks for the reply.

I got paypal to take from my card rather than direct from the bank, works well. Problem is its a little too easy, been spending rather too much on ebay, got to try and work out how I can block ebay :)

I've just a standard debit card, and that's what I've always done too.

I asked to become verified when thinking of starting to sell a few things (a MOre trust-worthy seller etc...). Part of the verifying procedure is setting up bank funding.

Guess I'll have to email the seller and tell him I'll be delayed paying him till I can get these deposit aMOunts confirmed.
