Should we have a separate section for posting pictures?
I was hoping that perhaps having a dedicated forums for photography would encourage more people to post their pictures. Perhaps you are right and it is only of interest to a small number of posters.
It has been suggested before. The problem is then there'll be a car forum too. And a computer forum. And and and... Previous admin decision was to keep it more focused as a hifi forum, based on what people said in a thread/poll. I think in general if people want to share and discuss pictures and photography in depth, they'll go to a photo forum.
On another forum I moderate we recently introduced a "digital art" section which has really (*really*) taken off in a big way, so much so that we now have a number of members posting solely in that section and making no or little contribution to computer hardware/modding (the original purpose of the forum, forums.bit-tech.net) On a forum that is already pretty broad it isn't too bad, but ZG is pretty focussed on hifi and a photography section would detract from that (IMO).
