I'm a big PJ fan so I was looking forward to this - but I'm a little disappointed. There is good footage and an interesting interview, but it feels very choppy and fragmented and the sound is pretty poor (in the commentary she says that she didn't want a slick, polished live dvd but rather something reflecting the chaos of a tour). A bigger irritation is that the copy I have only plays in colour on my multiregion player - the one I have hooked up to the hifi in my gym is region 2 and only plays it in black and white. However, it was not sold as a region 1 (and there is nothing on the disc to indicate what region it is..).

Are you sure you are outputting correctly on the second DVD, if you have it set to just PAL and not NTSC as well then this can happen.

Try a different connection. I had a DVD player and TV that only did black and white on one scart and colour on the other.

I have struggled to enjoy PJ so cannot comment on the content. But it seems lots of music artist DVDs are like this, you get the impression they have some half arsed footage they want to make money from.

I have a couple of Frank Zappa like it, lots of pointless filler that does not give an insight into touring, the people or the music. Sigh.

actually having fiddled around, it's something to do with the old steam-powered portable telly - the same dvd player plays the disc in colour into another TV.

Ooh, might have to get that, I like PJH.

My other half knew her through a mutual friend when they were at college, interestingly enough (or not).
