Peel part of it (say a half), then remove the red seeds from the yellowish membrane and eat them.

Peel off the bitter outer skin and the white pith. Then eat the red pips

I can remember as a kid we were issued with a pin and had to pick out the individual pips out and then spit out the seeds. I'msure that my mother used to do this to keep us quiet for a while though :)

Pomegranetes are my wifes favorite fruit, we buy loads of them when they are in season. My childhood memories of this fruit have put me off forever and i no longer eat them ( nice one Ma !) , my missus tells me that she just eats the whole lot minus the tough outher skin and the light coloured interconnecting pith type bits inside, which are both very bitter.

I know that all fruit is good for you , however Pomegranets are supposed to be particularly good for you.
