Yep, winner stays on. It's the law.

    Who's going first?

too right - but some pubs don't do that...I remember a particular incident wilst living out in germany...sigh nevermind, but it seems that once you get on a table you can play as many games (against the same opponent) ad you like...

I hate playing 2 shots carry on - that makes it far to easy...oh, and you only get one shot on the black...!

One shot on the black, and possibly even nominate the pocket

Wimps, the lot of you. The only pool is American 9 ball...and you have to nominate the pocket for every shot. Hasn't anyone here seen "The Hustler" (the original b&w version of course)?

I personally prefer billiards, which I learned from the famous Soviet champion, Inoff the Red.

Winner stays on, unless they can't be bothered or have to go out (at least this is what we play in the pool table in our kitchen :D). Only 1 shot on the black, and 2 shots doesn't carry....

Nah.. bar billiards (the one with the mushrooms) is the way to go:

You can fit the table in anywhere too due to all shots being played from one end!
