Dear Addicts

I have a pair of Quad 22ls floor standers bi wired and a Quad 909 stereo power amp single wire input.

I am using van den hul teatrak bi wire cable, but connecting the cables from the bi wire speakers to the amp is a nighmare. They are currently hard wired but this is untidy and tiresome, can these cables be easily terminated for ease of use bi wire into single.

Many thanks
I Jenkins

The problem with VDH Teatrack is the insulation is quite thick - when I had mine terminated with QED Airloc plugs by Sevenoaks I wanted biwire at speaker end, and single wired at the amp end (what I call a 4-2 set for each speaker) but they said they couldn't do it as the plugs wouldn't clamp to the cable as it was too thick.

I'm sure though theres a way, maybe stripping back more of the insulation and adding some heatshrink/additional dielectric....I expect Zanash or W-M could do it somehow! :)

A simple solution is to build an adaptor, ie a cable that will plug into the 909 and provide the split to the biwire. If you have any problems pm me.
