Has anyone noticed that Richard Burns died this morning?

A man who was dedicated and good at his sport, becoming world rally champion, died from a brain tumour today after spending several days in a coma. He was only 34.

It's been clear for several days that it was going to happen, but all the press coverage was elsewhere...

Was wondering about him a while back, around the time of the Rally of GB I was talking to a few people about him and whilst I knew he was ill, I thought he was on the slow road to recovery . When I heard he had died this morning I was shocked really, very sad news. His death comes four years to the day after he won his title as well :(

    RIP.

I knew he was ill, but I thought he underwent surgery earlier in the year and was expecting him to recover. As you say Isaac, the press coverage was elsewhere. A great loss, I really enjoyed watching him drive the Subarus.

I heard he was showing signs of improvement earlier this year so was shocked to see it flash up on Sky this morning. Just looking through the paper to if there is anything on him, a small section thats it.....................
