at this point we'd better trust our own ears.

Who cares what this person or the other says. Let's try it ourselves and report about it.

Indeed Titian, I shall do that when the frame has been built.

However, let's chalk this down to the usual hifi disagreements. Some like valves, some like transistors. Some like Vinyl, some like CDs. Some like Granite, some like other things.

Truth is, I reckon that this will work better than your average £75 rack, and certainly better than the present stacking the components up on the desk arrangement.
