Sorry about not getting the ATC info but....

As an ATC owner, can someone explain to me briefly what all this fuss is about? I haven't been on the forum for a while so may have missed some discussion....
 
Background: There used to be a lot of banter / arguing on here between bub & bbv over whether atc had a distorted midrange or not. Bub asked for specific distortion figures, but when the numbers were finally published in a magazine, their accuracy was called into account. Hence my chuckle over a previous post in this thread. Some are overly touchy on the subject now.
 
Actually it was bub and thorsten in that thread - I jumped on the bandwagon as I had always disliked the atc midrange.
 
I dont beleive this thread is about pmc darryl - feel free to start one ;-)
 
The difference being I couldn't care less about numbers and have never claimed my kit "is the most accurate in the world" ;)

I am heartily sick & tired of correcting people here who seem to be wilfully misquoting & misrepresenting my opinions on a daily basis.

I have never "asked for specific distortion figures", they were transcribed by "3DSonics" from a mag review off his own bat. He then proceeded to attempt to compare these figures with other (manufacturer's own) figures, which is a clear piece of nonsense.

I have also never claimed that ATC monitors are "the most accurate", this is ATC's own claim. FWIW they are the best speakers which I have heard, and that includes certain passive models which cost the same as ATC's actives, and could be expected to be better.

No further correspondence on this topic will be entered into. This forum has completely lost the place.
 
Well you seem to be calmer now you have returned hopefully you will dip into the forum again as the week progresses
