What, the preceding content, or having to wait until next year to see whether Adam got it and Harry gets it...

Pretty boy down; Sour faced blond bimbo upset; Ms GCHQ has a crisis of conscious and sells out; The blond nutter gets what she wants; Irreverent talk about the adulterous Di and the hook is set for the next series.
    Now that's what I call funny :D

An excellent episode - if Adam is dead I'll be gutted but Spooks has never shied away from killing off key characters in their prime...something that does give it some exciting unpredictability.

After watching many movies and tv dramas over a number of years, I have to say that blood coming out of the mouth following a gun shot is rarely good. Can anyone think of any 'happy ever afters' in those circumstances?

He might have just got a bullet fragment in the mouth off a ricochet that stunned him a little.

Is my memory playing tricks on me or didn't the last series end in a similar manner , with one of the main characters being popped by a sniper and then drifting off into the sea or something silly....

But there again you've missed "Hells'Kitchen USA" and the excellent "Bleak House" adaption.

Yes and no. Tom (the then main character of the series) shot Harry Pierce with a shotgun. Harry didn't die and Tom faked his own suicide by walking into the sea so that he had the time and freedom to prove his innocence. An old CIA agent with a grudge had set him up as the assasin of some high ranking official (that's where the sniper bit comes in).

I have to agree with Steve that it doesn't look good for Adam :(

    Michael.

Harry phones the Home Secretary to initiate a shoot to kill to protect order then Adam is then shot through the mouth by a sniper. Pure Kratos, art imitating life or life imitating art?

Must say Spooks is one of the few things other than the occasional documentary I watch on TV (although tonights prog on Pol Pot might be interesting) and whilst it's still reasonably OK I don't think it's quite as good as the first couple of series. Tom to me just seemed a more credible character and Harry doesn't seems to be his old self either for some reason.

My tip is keep away from TV drama - I worked for the self-obsessed artsy-fartsters for enough years to know that.
    However, "Rock School" was entertaining.

TV is the devil's toybox and I suspect the cause of far more modern ills than anybody actually realises. Unfortunately it very, very occasionally has good programmes on it. Can't say I miss it though.

    Aye..
The problem is that most folks take it seriously.
I mean how could you? It's all based on lies - people even believe they're seeing moving pictures FFS!

Maybe not seriously enough ... I think the real problem is most folks seem to think its harmless ... or even just entertainment.

I must have a most unusual TV. It has both ON/OFF and channel switches. Using these simple devices my wife and I can monitor and control what we watch and what we allow our children to watch.

So yes, I think that my television is harmless. However, it's certainly not 'just entertainment' - it's also educational and informative.

    Regards
    Steve

Ah well y'see Steve that's why its so dangerous. Its the insidious, hidden and subtle nature of the beast that fools you into thinking you have control. You do in a crude sense, but only in a crude sense.

The bastards also keep putting great stuff on it like The Simpsons to tempt those of us who've seen through it back into sweet slavery - and sometimes as you say educational and informative stuff too.
