London is good or bad depending on what you want to do, simple as that. If you want to go for a bike ride then it isn't too good but there is more to life than riding a bike! It is equally fun going around London with friends on a weekend. Lots of nice little shops, a few pretty places (Camden has both) and often far better looking girls than you find in the middle of a muddy track! Okay maybe not if you go past where all the Russian girls come for holiday work picking fruit :green: . When I was young I loved Covent Garden for a day out too. That shop where they had lots of moving models and stuff was fantastic. Oh and the yogart and fruit ice cream!

when i was younger i quite liked the hustle and bustle of the place but then i worked there for 5 years and lived there for 6+ months before deciding that 2-3 hours of commuting was preferable.
if it's at all possible i'll avoid the place for the slower less stressful life out here in the sticks.

I have to admit I prefer the life of the countryside now...I went for a drive down at Tunstall resorvoir (nea wolsingham) and it was lovely to see all the lambs and pheasants runnging around, and oh, I even saw a deer! priceless

just got back from a nice little bike ride. saw some pheasants, rabbits / hares (not sure which but they were pretty big), some sort of low slung rodenty thing (stoat, weasel, dunno) and what i think was a partridge. also the usual cows, sheep / lambs and horses.
i've also seen fox, deer, badgers and what i think was an adder when out and about.
i'm not counting pigeons 'cos they're disease ridden mingey flying rats.
no mechanical elephants though. i suspect it'll transform into mecha-streisand and kill everyone who turns up to see it.
    cheers
