i'll keep it anyway - it sounds pretty good to me either way. If i get twitchy about it i'll talk to aadvark audio

I'm pretty sure i've got the wiring sorted, speaker cables in the pos/neg marked mono and both buttons pressed.

    btw i've got a new cart - AToc9

tony next time you're in town do pop in

I take it these are your mod's rather than a factory approved upgrade

    Kev,
Mr Bleeker doing mods? you jest surely?, I wonder why they uprated the caps on the output stage for the later chipset that has the ability to drive 16 ohms? answers on a post card :)
No I mean a natural progession, taking an already fairly good design, and improving, without the restrictions of the ' build cost option'. Plus a few new techniques applied.
Though I have built some rather spanking (If I do say so my self :D ) mono block versions, I've just being applying the same sorts of enhancements to the B/C with surprising results, and just for Dat I haven't changed the opamps yet either!
Though I will say getting 240K's worth proper caps in there was slightly more than a straight fit :D
Though as your mid band man, maybe the spectral musician is more your bag, cheap too (I that appeals to you) $2800 stateside bags of balls too :)

Evo 4 available for $2600 new 240V, I've done one or 2 Gen II's Kev, though they have a 4 layer board which can make things rather tricky when wanting to remove stuff :D
The upped cap spec because of a (Alleged tendanies) to go into a state of flux I Believe . They even changed the pin configuration on the very lastest chipset and 'forgot to mention it' (Tripath) made an interesting bonfire of the chip :D The joys of Audio

You need to know the right people, surfice to say the $ sign might have given you a clue :D. You do need to dig a little, but there are there.
Mind you I believe Both John and Kev paid around the £2600 mark for a uk model, so they are available here for that sort of cash, and there was me thinking you were an mono 'x' sort of guy

oh yes mono X all the way !

though cyrus have just announced a "variable servo" adaptation to the pre X preamp, filtering down to the cyrus 6 and 8 integrateds, making what hifi proclaim the 6vs the equal of the old 8. and p!$$ing a few people off who have just bought an 8 only to suddenly discover the 8vs at the same price (and some the very next day).

which means i have a few "upgrades" pending
    have my "2nd system" aa5+ "les'd" to aaa5+
    have my isotek / isol8 minisub "v2'd"
    have my pre x "vs'd"
    have my apa7's "mono x'd"

i was just diverting a few mins on google as a favour to bemcsa.
