What is the best phono stage you have heard?

    The last 2 are class A and are notable for having no OP amps!
    The Monacor is priced around £24
    Before you turn the page, a phono
    Stage consists of 2 transistors per channel, a feedback loop and a few resistors for RIAA correction. A PP3 battery would last 3 -6 months.
    So, why OP Amps, and the crazy prices?
