Some of you may remember I posted about the vandalism to my flat after my intervening when the flat upstairs was burgled.

Well, the council have come up trumps, they've said that considering my medical history and what happened to my old flat they are able to offer me a bungalow, and I've just been to view it today.

Its on a nice, clean and quiet estate of old folks homes, its just been renovated with new windows and doors, new bathroom and kitchen and is smartly decorated, (to my taste, nice, light and airy) and as clean as a whistle throughout, I cant quite believe my luck.

So, for me, "fingers crossed and touch wood", a happy ending to a bad start of 2005.

    Great news mate! :D

Good to see that despite all the bullshit you've had to go through, your original "good deed" has in some way been rewarded.

    Very happy for you!

Good news indeed. Does it mean you didn't need to sell your kit after all?

Well done getting a decent council house can be a lottery. I know when my grandparents moved to theirs in 1960 they hated it, but they are still there now and they now own the place.

It actually turned out to be one of the best places they could have moved to.

The bungelow should make things a bit easier well especialy as you get older.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've got moved in and its great, all the neighbours are friendly and helpfull and the area's nice and quiet with no gangs of kids to be seen.

After selling off my gear I had enough for new carpets and furniture etc with enough left for a set of the mk2 Kef eggs which sound better than I thought they would, so I still have music and movies as I kept my dvd player and dolby digital amp.

As its been snowing I'm now going to jump in my car and go for a play on the moors, yup, still a big kid I'm afraid, regards, Mart
