ZeroGain Redesign

Clicked on my bookmark, saw the new page come up & thought I had selected the wrong bookmark. Only when I tried again & got the same page did I realise it was the new & improved version;)

As somebody else said new UIs take time to get used to, like new logo, well done.

Hopefully it'll grow on you, David, it's intended to be a bit less cluttered and easier to use...

Reskinned myself from the default vB3 skin - the vB3 layout is a fairly outdated affair, so it's a bit of a pain to get it looking as clean as the more recent versions, but hopefully it's done the job!

Looks like they're discussing new forum software, rather than just the redesign - will be quite a change for them!

I've been meaning to tidy ZG up for ages, but it seemed to keep getting bumped down the to-do list!

It bust be a real pain dealing with the CSS of a pre written skin. Well done :).

A lot of patience is invovled.

As an old timer, I miss the previous version, which I thought was about perfect. But I understand the need for novelty.

But please, make the text of messages black again.

RdS, you should find the text is black again - has the readability improved for you?

I think you should have a picture or logo to the right of the main zerogain text - maybe like we did for the very first zerogain change? Ppl posting ideas themselves, maybe even a voting system for the top3?

Just a thought.

I had hoped to have something hifi related alongside the logo, or even to incorporate the icons from the main forum listing somehow, but I was running short of time, so I thought I'd leave it as was rather than put something half-arsed up! Any ideas for improving it, or even attempts at a new one will be more than welcome! :)

The new design is so good, the tossers at another site have copied it almost completely, but that site is full of bugs as they are totally technically incompetent and rather uptight. It's rather funny watching them fail miserably and lose lots of members. Ah well.
