0% Finance.

Wrong, its totally illegal for any retailer to offer discounts for cash against the price on finance, and Trading Standards enforce this ruthlessly.

Complete bollocks. Where do you people GET these notions? :MILD:

Incase you didn't realise, this is an audio forum, not a financial advice forum.

There are indeed more important things in life. Good manners is one.

If you don't pay off the item purchased BEFORE the term is up you WILL PAY the interest and its not pretty. The payments [monthly] at the end of the term DO NOT equal the purchase price.Tricky bastards,so to take advantage of the promo pay it in FULL before term is up

Yeah these companies make this option because the majority of people don't sort themselves out and pay the balance before the deadline. It's a good option if you are the type of person who's organised enough to do it. I've done it before moving in with the girlfriend. Felt the need to get a new peice of kit so she wouldn't notice it was new after we were living together. I had a bonus coming up so knew I could pay it a few months down the line.

Why do hobbies make us feel the need to be so sneaky with the other half, eh? :D

It's a guilt thing; we know we're spending money when there is no real need, but we're driven by a strange compulsion to do it anyway. Must.....have.....new.....toys....! :inferno:

Saying that, I've lost count of the times I found my other half wearing some smart clothes that I'm sure I haven't seen before, which when commented upon get some vague suggestion that she's had it for some months. Yeah right. :)

Yeah. Buying clothes eh, what's that about?

Surely one new anorak a year is enough for any of us. ;)
