A very good system

Ive got a little pair of the Royd Sintra 2 speakers in my system this weekend.

I am bloody staggered and they are certainly not coming out any time soon.

Better than those Castles? They were very, very good.

In my limited experience, the hardest match to make is speakers to room. The Diamonds are on metal open-frame stands with adjustable lockable spikes top & bottom. This helps a lot.

I think I agree with Julian. Diminishing returns starts at around the £1k per component mark, except with speakers which go up to about £2.5K before you get diminishing returns.

Power amps could kind of go up higher if instead of getting a single £1.7k amp u got a £1k amp and another £700 amp then went the bi-amp route.

Just my few thousand pounds worth!

You do get demishing in returns at the extreme budget end though i.e a cheap mini system all in would cost £40, yet even the most basic HIFI seperate CD player costs £60, and a DVD players are cheaper than CD players now.

I must admit my new CD player does sound a lot better than my old one though and it didn't cost that much more.

What ever could this mystery stand be? ;)

What/where/whose is this new miracle system?

BTW, I think I've finally gotten my Active 20s positioned right, so you're welcome to come round for a listen next time you're in the neighbourhood
Well it used to be my 'bedroom system', but I hardly ever used it so I gave it to my g/f. The CDP cost me £80, the rest was free, long story.

Glad to hear that your ATCs are positioned right, next time I'm in Edinburgh I'll give you a call.
