Anti Virus Software

Yes - I use AV and find the updates take longer than I would expect. Still, happy to sacrifice a couple of minutes given that it's free.

Overall I'm happy with it too. The updates seem to get to 0% remaining then just stop for a few minutes before continuing.

Thankyou all

Thank you all very much for your help in this matter.

Regards and best wishes to you all D Louth 77 :)

Avast here as well as tune up utilities 2009 and malwarebytes.

If you are having bother D Louth77 gimme a shout and I'll pop around and see if I can help.

Are you heading out to see Stereolab on SUnday by any chance? I may just try and grab a ticket if there are any left!

AVG here also. I have had update errors and probs probably 2 or 3 times in 2 or 3 years, but it's always sorted itself out eventually. I see no reason to pay for anything at present, the free version of avg seems to work as well as the ones I've paid for in the past, but tbh I'm probably not in the high risk category of internet users as I don't tend to download loads of shit from dodgy sites. Common sense is important for hassle free browsing.
