Graham, perhaps Ian will leave it behind for you to give it a full listen next time. It really is an amzing album. Granted, it may well be a bit much for some, but IMO the guys a genius! Give it a "proper" listen some time. You may well stil not like it, but as a complete album it's pretty special IMO!

At least you (sort of ;) ) gave it a try!

I have an Aphex twin here, one Ambient works keeps making my tweeters go mental.

My Fiance warned me. Its crap she said, but I still got it. To be honest I have had it about two years and have given it another go manay times, but I am inclined to agree with her.

IMO Future sound of London covere dthis album much better with Lifeforms.

Gary, I agree with you on Ambient Works. I didnt like it much either.

I've just listened to The Classics and I have to say, I am extremely impressed, excellent sound quality and production, its dark and gritty electronic music, I like this very much :D

I haven't gone back to it to be honest. I've made a few sistem changes and the old fav's have wrestled their way to the top of the pile :)

I've got that one. it's on a mini-CD by a band called The Dillinger Escape Plan. Cool band. Fast Complex rythms and melodies. You can really hear that they are very good musicians technically.

This Mike Patton is a really good singer. Anyone familiar with his other projects Mr. Bungle and Fantomas?

I'll give that Aphex twin stuff a go too.

Mike Patton once put some of his steaming wet pooh in a hotel hair-dryer so that the next guest would get showered in hot shite. He also had his own shit recipies in the back of the NME (I seem to remember curry shite, for some reason).
I think its only right to say that Mike Patton and FNM are/were shit.

I think they may even have done a similar thing with that ginger frog looking girlie from garbage. She was meant to have a stinky tendancy too. I've not read the NME for many years now so can't really remember.

Onno. drukqs isn't perhaps the ideal starting point for aphex. And if you're a fan of come to daddy, you should try the mini ep version of it to get a taste of some of his other stuff. Come to daddy is a bit of a token tune. So, at least that way you've got a copy of that if you don't like any of his others.

    Hope you enjoy :)
