As you have noticed i aint been in here for ages, though i have hovered around in the background, good to see everyone is alive and well, and still squabbling over the 'do they dont they' cable debate...
Rob - fraid i cant make it next Tues - shame cos it would be good to catch up over a beer or three and double shame because i'd like to hear the cable comparisson...
However, i have this place to myself next Friday - the 9th - short notice but if anyone fancies a beer (here or down at the Riverhead - the local micro-brewery
) and a listen to the odd tune then let me know - can call it a bake off if you like, or a beer off....either way i think Deans idea from the last bake off at Robs is a belter - a 'Cover versions only' night.
Space wise probaly best if kept to 6 folks including me.

I shan't say too much as this is being writen up for another thread ! Sufice to say we had a great day/night listened to some fine gear [oops shouldn't say that as it was mine !] A pity things came up for a couple of attendees...but *hit happens !
As to the cables........ well there were things that every one heard without consultation or prompting [we have the notes people made!]
As this was not a question of prefferences just differences, it was not a great suprise to find [in the system context] some were not to peoples tastes.
Oh yes a big thank you to Rsand who fed and watered us and let us use his house !

Rob, if the 1st bake of at yours was anyting to go by i missed a good night, looks like there'll be some good reading on the Great Cable Comparisson which i look forward to seeing, hopefully i'll catch up with Isaac over a beer tomorrow night and get his thoughts........
