You werent overly drunk? Then it wasnt good stuff was it :p

I havent had a lot to say on this thread since most my consumption tends to be lager, lager, and more lager, with vodka and alcopops thrown in for good measure :D

Yes, I was steaming on MOre than one occasion! However, (as I said ;) ), I didn't FEEL overly drunk. None of the "uuurrrrr i've had too much, I wanna go home and sleep" :p

my all time fave is fullers london pride, anything by fullers is good, esb, honey stuff, 1845 ,youngs not bad, not quite there,
i liike a good full flavour, but not too liquoracy! marstons I find a little on the light, laid back tast to me.

bishops finger by shepherd neame, greene king abbots, courage directors, black sheep, didn't like the theaksons cool cask stuff, I am really lucky, as I have a booths up here which has shed loads, and loads of good ale at 99p a bottle yes, that's right!

My recommendation is about 6 to 8 pints of J W Lee's bitter followed by a damn good curry, my local curry chef just won some national competition. No Lee's try Holt's or Robinsons, not too strong to get you trollied but still nice beers. I also like in smaller quantities Timmy Taylors Landlord, Courage Directors. Coniston Breweries Bluebird, and a bit of a favourite this one Black Sheep Bitter.
Going out soon, I'll have a pint for you all:beer: :guiness:  :guiness:

I think I'm going to through a spanner in the works by saying that I prefer german beers..? especially heffe...yum! - by law, typical german beer must contain water, hops and barley (check the ingrdients on the side of becks, for example)

I've never seen the ingrdeiants listed on uk beer..? I'm assuming that its because it contains preservatives etc..?

and hoegarden, thats real nice,

Which is why Carling et al taste bloody awful and real ales taste so gorgeous... Norway and Sweden have the same rules for beers so next time you're in IKEA pick up a few cans of the swedish christmas beer which is dark and tasty.
Someone mentioned Wetherspoons... do they not seel real ales down your way? In Derby they're great for cheap ales as they buy it close to its sell-by-date, you can't taste the difference.
Are we having a forum day out to a beer festival some time?

2 Ciders to really bring a smile to your face, (providing the twat at the pub, hasn't got the gas turned up far too much:( )

Stowford Press
Stowford Press Export 6.2% too bloody good :D
Kaltenburg Pils, smooth, nice quaffable.

When it comes to ciders I only like the flat, lukewarm spicy ones... you know the ones that look like cowpiss!
