I dont have a team im afraid (although it would be spurs if i was pushed). Best player ive seen is Zinedine Zidane at the 2002 Champions League Final (I won tickets - only decent thing ive ever won!) he was amazing to watch and his goal was unbeleivable.

What a goal that was!!!

Who are y'all expecting for this seasons champions league?

I'd love to see Liverpool do it back to back, but Barcelona are looking pretty special.

Who knows, rangers are still in with a shout

european player of the year awards just been announced...

1) Ronaldinho
2) Gerrard
3) Lampard

hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe Im always bothered when Blackburn stuffs Burnley, including the little ladies. 6-0 by the way hahahahahahahahahahaha. Im putting Burnley on ebay with no reserve.

Christ....Whats to be so proud of?! Blackburn are one of the few teams that cause me to turn motd over when they're on.
Unless I've heard that Robbie Savage has had his legs broken in which case I'll get a blank video ready.

:ffrc: :ffrc: :boogie: :NADowner:

The blackburn/burnley thing is much more than football. I dont watch motd at all, football is boring.
Not to me, my friend. I haven't got time for any of these petty hate-fests (and they do get quite nasty) whether it's Burnley/Blackburn or whoever.

I do watch MOTD when I can and find that there are moments of sheer magic. Marvellous. There are moments watching Thierry Henry, Lampard, Rooney, Malbranque, Owen, Gerrard, et al when I see that, for me, football really is 'The Beautiful Game'.

I love watching England even more and am really looking forward to the World Cup in Germany. Bring it on.

- and actually, if you followed Burnley from their time as league champions of all England in 1960 and in the European Cup, through 'the Orient Game' which they had to win just to stay in the football league (and, against the odds, they did), to the years of Barry Kilby as chairman including knocking Aston Villa, Spurs and Liverpool out of cup competitions in the last couple of years and up to our current placing as play-off hopefuls, this season ...

...you'd probably see that for a club with one of the smallest, poorest most unfashionable towns in the Championship, with one of the smallest crowds, and with no money, we're actually doing ...

rather well :) :) :)

- so there! :p

Oh I see...thats even worse...both towns could do with a dusting of depleted uranium I reckon! :gatling:

:yikes:

Well Pembrokeshire is due to be submerged by 2020, that reminds me, Ive not wasted vast amounts of fuel today, must get to it :MILD:

Actually, I left B'burn 24 yrs ago and try not to go back (apart from visiting the hallowed turf of course) and Stevie 7 is actually french so neither of us would miss them :JOEL:

Not that I advocate the nuclear destruction of towns mind you.

.

haha ah well...think we'll all be blown sky high by the new LNG plant about to be installed accross the water from my office before then

Who is this French 'Stevie 7'?

I've got to change my forum name soon as I'm using 7V for my new company logo.

I was thinking Stevie Ki to boast to the entire hi-fi world about my aikido prowess but maybe Stevie7 will do.

(Like you all care.)

whoa.................I grew up in Foulridge, near Colne, and supported Burnley for many years, and still do,in fact,I was the Longside hard for 20 years and once beat up 150 Blackbin pikeys with one hand.Or maybe not:) Good to see some some Lancashire football supporters even if one is from Ewood:) I'm 40 btw,so I can remember many a great game in the first division in the seventies.

Is John Connollys chippy still in Brierfield?

Dave, I didn't know. Great.

We definitely had the 'The Team of The Seventies'. What a shame we had to sell it. :(

So do you remember Ralph Coates, Dave Thomas, Steve Kindon, Dobbo, Leighton James, Paul Fletcher etc? I used to go to about 10 games each season - mainly down sarf though.

Don't know about John Connelly's chippy. I'll make enquiries on 'Clarets Mad'

Cheers
Steve M
